Membership subscriptions 

Please note that subscriptions will be due on the 1st January 2012.

Included with this newsletter you will find the relevant forms to renew your membership.  Many of you already pay by Bank Standing order, which is easier for the group to collect and control, if you already pay by this method please ignore that form. We will accept payment by cheque to our Treasurer Pat Tate, whose address is on the form, or by cash but please do not send cash through the post.

Regardless of how you pay, would you please complete the Group Membership form, including you IAM Membership Number and date that you passed your IAM Advanced test, so that we can enter it into our records.  

Your group subscriptions help fund our running costs i.e. printing costs of the Newsletters, Associate Handbooks etc, room hire and equipment replacement. It also pays for Group Insurance cover, which all active members are covered by.   

Your payment also gives you the option of a “Check-Drive” with one of our Nationally Qualified Observers during the year to keep you driving to an IAM standard. Just get in touch using the Group Contact Number on 07071 226693 and we will arrange your drive. This is worth £25 if booked through the IAM website.  

Please note that all ‘active‘ members i.e. those that attend for any Observer function, Check-Drive or Group Ride, must be both a member of the group and of the IAM nationally to be eligible and insured to attend. 

National IAM Subscription 

Do not confuse this renewal with your National IAM membership which will be sent direct by IAM House, either on the anniversary of passing your IAM Advanced Test or for more recent members on the anniversary of enrolling for your Skill for Life course.

The IAM have developed a link for car and motorcycle and household insurance with IAM Surety which offers good deals to members but you will need your IAM membership number to register. Please see IAM website for details.
